Dikutip dari NME, kepopuleran lagu ini kemudian bertambah setelah kekasih Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, menyanyikan lagu ini di BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.
Cabello mengakui bahwa dirinya memang sangat menyukai lagu ‘Someone You Loved’ ini. Kesukaannya dituangkan dalam posting-an Instagram pribadinya.
