Single berjudul 'Mother' tersebut hadir di deretan kedua dari album ketiga milik Charlie bertajuk 'Sick'. Lagu 'Mother' tersebut menceritakan tentang hubungan seorang gadis dengan seorang pria yang tidak mendapatkan restu dari ibu sang gadis.

Diketahui dari unggahan Charlie di akun Twitternya, 'Mother' adalah pengalaman hidup yang sempat dialami oleh Charlie sendiri . 

Pengalaman cinta yang dijalani secara backstreet tersebut ia dapatkan pada saat dirinya masih duduk di bangku sekolah.
